About Amy Lou

Hey! I hope that, wherever you are, your day is light and bright and full of sugary tea in really lovely mugs.

My name is Amy, I live in the North East of England and I’m very much an enthusiast for all things creative, beautiful and adventurous. When I’m not photo taking and memory making, I’m brunch munching, beach stomping, flower arranging, autumn dressing, homeware shopping, cry-laughing, sofa cuddling, dog meeting, curious thinking and cuppa drinking.

I’m forever grateful to build genuine connections with so many of the wonderful humans I photograph, many of which bloom into lifelong friendships.

What else? Well, I’m a self-confessed botanical obsessive, can quote Garden State word-for-word and my most controversially held opinion is that pineapple is the best pizza topping ever.

If you’re still reading and the pizza thing didn’t put you off, I also believe our attitude to photography has changed. Quick snaps clog up our phone storage and can be both shared with the world and deleted in an instant.

But photographs are bigger than we are. Cared for properly, photos last forever. My home is filled with old photos – I have one of my Grandma as a baby that’s 85 years old! I’m driven to capture these kinds of moments – ones that make time-travel possible and make your heart skip a beat.  And you know what, I think it’s more important than ever to capture them too.

So, if you’d like to send over an interest form, or make your case against pineapple on pizza, I’d be delighted to hear from you!
